How are off-site payment recoveries (like PayPal) handled?
When a customer places an order using an off-site payment gateway, like PayPal standard, a pending payment is created in your EDD shop along with a pending order in Jilt. If the customer clicks the recovery link in an email and places the order, a second pending payment will be created in your EDD shop. This is because Easy Digital Downloads does not currently support resuming a previous pending payment (see this issue).
When the recovery payment is completed, Jilt will mark the original pending payment as "abandoned" and add a note with a link to the completed recovery payment:
