You may notice that your address appears in the footer of all emails sent from Jilt. We automatically add your address to emails to help you comply with legislation that requires businesses include their address in all email communication:

Your message must include your valid physical postal address. This can be your current street address, a post office box you’ve registered with the U.S. Postal Service, or a private mailbox you’ve registered with a commercial mail receiving agency established under Postal Service regulations.

Where can I change the address?

You can update the address that appears in your email footer by going to Settings > Shop Settings and editing the Store address field.

Can I remove the address from my email?

No - Jilt does not allow removing the address to ensure that you are in compliance with these laws. If you have questions about your legal obligations or our policy, please contact our support team to discuss this further. 

What can I do if I'm not comfortable sharing my address?

For many small businesses, your business address may be the same as your home address. In those cases, we recommend using a post office (P.O.) box address instead, which ensure that you comply with these laws while also maintaining your personal privacy.
