If you are seeing a different product image when previewing your emails compared to viewing in the editor, it's possible that a dynamic image is being used rather than the static image you have applied in the editor. To check if that's the case:

  1. Click on the image in your broadcast email editor
  2. Check if Dynamic image is enabled
  3. Check to see if there is a merge tag in Dynamic URL

What are dynamic images for?

Jilt automatically pulls in product images from your eCommerce store. The images shown there will be different depending on if your are showing your Top Products, New Products, or Chosen Products.

Because of this, we always recommend clicking Actions > Preview to view how your email will appear to your recipients.

How do I deactivate the dynamic image?

You can deactivate the dynamic image and add a static image directly in the URL field. However, if you do that, be sure to also update any merge tags (such as {{new_products[0].title}}) associated with that image so they use your new static value that properly correlates to your image.

How to choose the products that are displayed on your email.

You may want to choose specific products to be shown in your email. To do that:

  1. Go to Rows and select Build custom row from the drop-down menu.
  2. Select Product Row in the pop-up window.
  3. Pick Let me choose from the Show these products drop-down menu.
  4. Enter the product names that you'd like to show.
  5. Update the other settings to tweak the appearance of the product rows.
  6. Click Create product row.
  7. Drag the row into the email. You can modify the row further in the email if you'd like.
  8. Click Actions > Preview to view the product(s) you've selected for the row.

Note: You can also use a custom row to tweak the appearance of a product row for best sellers or newest items.
