We covered generating your Jilt DNS records along with some general guidelines in our article Can I send emails from my own domain? Here we'll take a look at adding the SPF and DKIM records to your Network Solutions domain host.

Now, let's start sending your emails with your own domain.

Access the DNS Manager

1. Log in to your account at Network Solutions by using this link. Before logging in, make sure to choose Manage My Domain Names from the Log in to: drop-down list.

2. Select the check box next to the name of the domain you are modifying.

3. Choose Edit DNS.

4. Scroll down and click the Manage Advanced DNS Records button.

Create a DKIM record

1. Under the Text (TXT Records) heading, click Add/Edit.

2. Enter the Host/Name we previously generated from Jilt (see Can I send emails from my own domain?) into the Host field (eg. 20171017171308pm._domainkey ).

3. We'll leave the TTL field set to the default value (7200).

4. In the Text field, we'll enter the TXT Value we copied from Jilt's Email Domains setup page. Paste the value starting with "k=rsa;" .

5. Click Continue, then click Save Changes.

Great job! We're almost done.

Create a SPF record

1. Under the Text (TXT Records) heading, click Add/Edit.

2. In the Host field, enter @.

3. In the Text field, enter the TXT Value generated by Jilt. Paste this value, v=spf1 include:spf.jiltmta.net ~all .

4. Leave the TTL field set to the default value (7200).

5. Click Continue, then click Save Changes.

If your Network Solutions account already has an SPF record

In some instances, you might already have an SPF record in your Records list. It's not recommended to have multiple records - this can lead to delivery and spam issues. Instead, we can adjust the entry to include a portion of Jilt's TXT Value

Add the following to your existing SPF record and move the ~all to the end: include:spf.jiltmta.net

Your final SPF record might look something like this:
 v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.google.com include:spf.jiltmta.net ~all

Next Steps

Once the DNS has had a chance to propagate (sometimes up to 48 hours), return to Jilt's Email Domain page to complete verification.
