Split testing (also known as A/B testing) is a great way to compare the effectiveness of two similar campaigns with minor adjustments. For example, you could compare the use of emojis in your subject lines by split testing a broadcast email that does and does not contain an emoji.
You can use segmentation rules to A/B test your automations or broadcast emails. To do so:
Duplicate your broadcast or automation so that you have one for each test group.
To one of the duplicates, apply the rule
contact email contains j.
To the other duplicate apply the rule
contact email does not contain j.
Customize your email or subject lines as necessary and activate to start sending.
Note: the letter can be adjusted to any value that works best to split your contact group.
