Migration checklist

Below are the key steps to migrating your email marketing to Omnisend.

  1. Integrate your store with Omnisend

  2. Switch out Jilt's signup form

  3. Redirect any integrated subscriber forms

  4. Sync subscribers at checkout

  5. Migrate current autoresponders

  6. Import your contact lists

  7. Migrate saved email templates (jump to the instructions on this page)

  8. Export additional Jilt assets

  9. Sunset your Jilt account

Export email HTML

Before you start migrating email templates, there are a few things to note:

  • If you use an imported HTML template, you will not be able to use Omnisend content blocks.

  • For that reason, it’s recommended to create an email template with the Omnisend email editor instead of importing an HTML template.

  • HTML templates require advanced knowledge and if you're unfamiliar with the language, it's recommended that you work with a developer.

  • Jilt and Omnisend use different merge tag / personalization tag syntax. Each must be swapped out in order to include the correct personalized details.

1. Export Jilt emails

2. Swap out merge tags

Before you import a template, you'll want to replace all of the matching tags with personalization variables:
