Below are the key steps to migrating your email marketing to Metorik:
Now that you've connected your shop and you're starting to track new customers with Metorik, it's time to create a welcome email. Since Metorik doesn't support collecting email addresses for a newsletter, this can be a welcome message to your customer.
Let's start by creating your message to Metorik first:
Enable Welcome Emails to Metorik
Metorik has a great guide on how you can create your first automated messages. You can find a lot of useful information generally for how to design your new campaigns as well as specifically for a welcome message in the article below:
Kindly note that with Metorik, you can use HTML to customize your emails, but you may need to adjust the Jilt exports to ensure they're looking as you'd like on your end. If you don't have any experience with HTML and CSS, we'd recommend consulting a developer for further assistance.
Now, let's disable Jilt's welcome emails (and any other autoresponders) to ensure that your customers don't receive multiple messages.
Disable Jilt's welcome emails
Make sure to deactivate any Welcome new subscribers automations that are active in Jilt to prevent sending duplicate emails.
Open the Automations list.
Find the campaign in the list and click the Stop button.
3. On the Stop Campaign modal either select Keep scheduled emails or Cancel scheduled emails.
With either selection the campaign will be stopped immediately, preventing new contacts from being assigned to the automation. However, your selection will tell Jilt what it should do with any emails that have been scheduled but not yet sent.
Keep scheduled emails. This option is useful if Jilt has captured some new signups that weren't also synced to Mailchimp.
Cancel scheduled emails. Select this option if the latest signups have been synced to Mailchimp and they're eligible to receive the new Automation Welcome Email that you've activated in Mailchimp.
Continue to Step 5: Import your contact lists.
