Migration checklist
Below are the key steps to migrating your email marketing to Metorik:
Now that your first few messages are ready and your shop is connected to Metorik, it's time to proceed with the next, big step: importing your contacts.
After connecting your shop to Metorik, all your customers will get synced automatically. However, kindly note that at the moment, Metorik doesn't offer a feature that allows you to directly import contacts to your dashboard.
Instead, you can import them to your WooCommerce or Shopify store, and Metorik will sync them as customers instead. So, let's start by exporting your contacts from Jilt.
Export your contacts from Jilt
First, we'll want to export all of your contacts that are in Jilt.
From your Jilt account, go to Contacts
Bulk select your contacts
Click Actions > Export contacts

A link to download the export file will be sent to your email address when it's ready. Once you've downloaded the file, unzip the package. It will contain up to five CSV files:
All-contacts. This file includes the entire list of contacts that were exported and is included in every contact export that's processed by Jilt.
Subscribed. This list includes all contacts that have explicitly opted-in to receive marketing emails from your store.
Unsubscribed. This list includes all contacts that have opted out of your email marketing. The action is typically completed by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email.
Non-subscribed. This list includes all contacts that have neither opted-in or opted-out of your email marketing.
Suppressed. This list includes all contacts that have the suppressed status in Jilt (read more on statuses here). Contacts move to this status when their email address hard bounces, they mark one of your emails as spam, or they unsubscribe from your emails.
Note: The export file includes the CSVs for which you have matching contacts. We won't generate a CSV if there are no contacts in one of the opt-in or status lists.
Import them to Metorik
Based on the features we've discussed before, you'll need to then import all the contacts that you'd like to your WooCommerce or Shopify store as customers for Metorik to sync them to your dashboard. There's a great guide with more information you can follow on how to do that:
